Polymer flooring allows for the complete protection of concrete floors, making them resistant to harsh environments and general wear and tear. It is also a viable restoration method, coating over damaged surfaces to make them as good as new.

There are various types of polymer flooring that we offer — epoxy, polyurethane, acrylic, MMA, vinyl ester, and chlorinated rubber. However, before you choose which one is best suited to your needs, here are some factors to consider:

Chemicals Spills: Will the flooring be subject to the spillage of certain corrosive chemicals?

Human & Vehicular Traffic: How many people/cars will pass over the flooring each day?

Moisture: How much moisture would the polymer flooring be exposed to?

Temperature: What temperatures would the polymer flooring be exposed to?

Application Processes and Functions

The various functions of the polymer flooring application processes are explained here:

Polymer Coating: A layer of polymer floor coating about 300µm thick is painted above a supporting substrate. Thus, this method of application is recommended for floors that are in a generally good condition.

Self-Leveling Polymer Flooring: Self-leveling resurfaces are resin-rich flooring systems that are suitable for heavy use areas. 2-3mm thick, this form of flooring is the system of choice for large areas that require medium to heavy-duty flooring.

Polymer Mortar: Ultra-tough, this is the strongest polymer flooring system available. Epoxy resins are combined with a hardener and an aggregate to form a rigid plastic material — epoxy — that is strong, durable, and resistant. This material is then troweled into place, creating a thick 4-6mm layer of epoxy flooring that is highly impact- and chemical-resistant. It is also the system of choice in the reparation of old floors.

Fibre-Reinforced Coating: In this polymer coating, a resin (either vinyl ester or epoxy) is infused with fibre, creating an extremely strong and flexible compound that is 2-3mm thick. Durable and non-porous, this system is suitable for areas that have a high rate of chemical or water contact.
